For those in Pokhara considering a trek in the Annapurna region, the Annapurna Base Camp Trek from Pokhara, crafted by All Round Trip Nepal Treks, is an ideal choice. This trek is a low-altitude, relatively easy journey compared to other base camp treks in Nepal.
Renowned for its stunning beauty and unforgettable experiences, the ABC trekking route is surrounded by towering peaks such as Machhapuchare, Annapurna South, Annapurna Fang, Annapurna III, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, Khangsar Kang, and Tent Peak.
Despite its shorter length compared to other base camp hikes, it offers spectacular Himalayan views, natural beauty, and cultural diversity. Trekkers will have the opportunity to experience the mountain lifestyle and culture of the Gurung and Magar communities.
The Annapurna Base Camp lies within the Annapurna Conservation Area, home to a variety of rare plant and animal species, such as musk deer, leopards, langur and rhesus monkeys, bears, and reptiles.
Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Pokhara to Siwai. From there, you will trek through beautiful terraced farms, suspension bridges, and forests of rhododendron and bamboo en route to Chomrong.
On the way to Chomrong, you will be treated to views of the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre massifs. The next day, you will leave Chomrong and head to Dovan, passing through more bamboo forests and rhododendrons as the trail steadily climbs.
After departing from Dovan and following the Modi Khola toward Deurali, the trek will take you through the Himalayas and Hinku Cave. The most exciting day of your journey will be when you cross Deurali and have the opportunity to explore Machhapuchhre and Annapurna Base Camps.
Proceed to Annapurna Base Camp via the Modi Khola Glacier Valley after passing Machhapuchhre Base Camp. From Annapurna Base Camp, you will enjoy breathtaking views of Hiunchuli and the Annapurna ranges, including Annapurna I, Khangsar Kang, Gangapurna, and Machhapuchhre.
You will spend the night at Annapurna Base Camp. The trek will conclude in Sinuwa the following day after spending a night at the base camp. You will leave Sinuwa in the morning and trek to Jhinu Danda.
At Jhinu Danda, you can relax in the nearby natural hot springs. After a fantastic day in Jhinu Danda, your trek will take you to Siwai, from where you will drive back to Pokhara.
