Your unforgettable Himalayan adventure begins early in the morning when a representative from Art Nepal Treks picks you up from your hotel in Thamel or surrounding areas. Early departure ensures the best weather conditions and clearer mountain visibility.

You will travel comfortably in a private vehicle to Tribhuvan Domestic Airport. The drive normally takes around 15 to 20 minutes depending on traffic conditions in Kathmandu.

Upon arrival at the airport, you will meet your experienced helicopter pilot and crew members. The team will conduct a detailed safety briefing explaining flight procedures, altitude safety, and emergency protocols. Passenger weight measurement is conducted to maintain helicopter balance and ensure flight safety.

Passengers can enjoy tea or coffee before boarding the helicopter while preparing for the mountain flight experience.

The helicopter takes off from Kathmandu Domestic Airport and begins the scenic journey toward the Everest region. As the helicopter gradually leaves the Kathmandu Valley, passengers enjoy aerial views of terraced farmland, traditional Nepalese villages, and winding river valleys.

During the flight, travelers can witness spectacular Himalayan peaks including the Langtang Himalayan range, Gauri Shankar Mountain, Dorje Lakpa, and several other snow-covered mountains forming the gateway to the Everest region.

After approximately 45 minutes of scenic mountain flight, the helicopter lands at Lukla Airport, famously known as Tenzing-Hillary Airport. Lukla Airport is globally recognized as one of the most thrilling airports in the world due to its short runway and dramatic mountain surroundings.

This stop is mainly for refueling, restroom use, and short refreshment breaks.

After refueling, the helicopter continues flying deeper into the Khumbu region following the scenic Dudh Koshi River valley. During this section of the flight, passengers enjoy breathtaking aerial views of Namche Bazaar, the main commercial hub of the Everest region.

The helicopter also passes several famous Himalayan peaks including Thamserku and Kongde Ri before landing at Everest View Hotel, located at 3,880 meters altitude.

Everest View Hotel is internationally recognized as the highest luxury hotel in the world. From this location, guests can enjoy stunning panoramic views of Mount Everest along with Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Nuptse peaks.

Travelers usually spend around 30 to 45 minutes at the hotel. Guests can enjoy breakfast (optional and payable separately) while capturing spectacular Himalayan photographs.

This is the most exciting and main highlight of the entire helicopter tour. The helicopter flies further into the Khumbu Valley, passing iconic landmarks including Tengboche Monastery, Pangboche village, Dingboche valley, and Pheriche high-altitude settlement.

The helicopter lands at Kala Patthar, located at 5,555 meters, which is widely considered the best viewpoint to observe Mount Everest closely. From Kala Patthar, travelers can witness Mount Everest in its full majestic presence along with Khumbu Glacier, Everest Base Camp area, Pumori, Lhotse, and Nuptse peaks.

Due to extremely high altitude and oxygen limitations, passengers typically spend around 8 to 10 minutes at this location. Despite the short duration, this stop provides some of the most extraordinary mountain photography opportunities in the world.

Landing at Kala Patthar depends entirely on weather and wind conditions for safety purposes.
